Lyrics Part 1 To see the all in every this To know whatever this is is all Part 2 I see the all in you And you see the all in me
Notes One of the properties of open systems is that they are holons: whole systems in their own right, comprised of subsystems and simultaneously an integral part of a larger system. This song captures the essence of the “holonic shift in consciousness” that's fundamental to the Great Turning. Get a group going on the first part, and then bring in the second part and its harmony. Starting notes for the three parts are B flat, B flat (up one octave), G and E flat. It’s powerful when singers look each other in the eye as they mill about, or form concentric circles facing in and out while stepping in opposite directions. Words and music by Laurence Cole.
