May This Be An Opening

Composed and Performed by Gretchen Sleicher

Lyrics

May this be an opening
May I be an opening
May we be an opening
An opening to love

May this be an opening
May I be an opening
May we be an opening
An opening of love

May this be an opening
May I be an opening
May we be an opening
An opening for love

Notes

With so many challenges and losses we face, this is a song to pull out of the pocket and remind us that every loss can be an opening to/of/for love. The this in the first line of each verse can be anything, but especially our sorrows. The tantric flip reveals the love behind the pain, always a chance for opening.

The song was written in 4 parts for a choir, and sounds great with basses singing that part an octave lower. It can be sung with hand motions suggesting opening.
